The sample files in this folder are designed to give you some ideas of what Video Titler can do. The following notes list the ATM or TrueType fonts used in each file, and in some cases offer additional notes on how the title was created or used.
* 12-pt. Red Border
This title uses the Video Graphics font built into Video Titler to create a 12-point red border around the edge of the screen. Designed as a backdrop; first click "Title" to print it to the output window, and then create a new text title with the information to fit inside the border. Click "Key" to drop the new text into the bordered background.
* Backdrop 1 & Overlay 1
These companion files create a background "plate" and then drop Helvetica text on top of it. Load the Backdrop 1 file, which uses the Video Graphics font, first, and click on "Title." Then load the Overlay 1 file, which uses Helvetica, and click on "Key."
* Bob M. Key Super
This file uses Helvetica Bold Italic and the Video Graphics fonts to create a standard chromakey news-style super key. To use this with a luminance keyer, you'd change the background to black, and set a drop shadow color value of around 6500 for red, green and blue by double-clicking on the drop shadow custom color palette box. Click the "Title" button to create the output.
* Color Bars 640 x 480
This file uses the Video Graphics font to create quasi-SMPTE color bars. Two notes: The upper and center colors have not been verified with a vectorscope to be accurate. Also, the I & Q sections and the black section at the bottom are "eyeball" approximations only; they also have not been calibrated.
* Custom Colors
This file uses the Revue font, and will look quite funky if you don't happen to have that font installed. If this is the case, change the font to one that you do have installed. This file is here mainly to show how setting custom colors can provide pleasant effects. Click the "Title" button to create the output.
* Deep Drop Shadows
This files uses the Korinna font; Palatino is a good substitute. It demonstrates how a light foreground color and a darker drop shadow color can provide a nice three-dimensional effect. Click the "Title" button to create the output.
* StarFire Features
This file uses Korinna for the top line, Video Graphics for the red line, with Zapf Dingbats for the check marks and Helvetica bold for the features list. These are the features we'd like to see on our next car. Click the "Title" button to create a chroma-key or stand-alone title.
